Welcome to AP Macroeconomics!  Congratulations for accepting the challenge of taking such a rigorous course.  As a student in next year’s class, you are the lucky recipient of a summer assignment giving you a preview of the topics we will focus on in the coming school year.  This assignment will be evaluated and incorporated into your first quarter grade.  The summer assignment is due the first day of school in August.

Your summer assignment is is as follows: 

# 1: Visit Planet Money on NPR http://www.npr.org/sections/money

Find and listen to two podcasts of your choosing from the above website.
a. For each podcast complete the following (typed, single-spaced 12font 1inch margins, Times or Arial) 
i.    Title of Podcast, Date of Podcast 
ii.    Easybib Citation of the Podcast: easybib.com 
iii.    1⁄2 page reflection of podcast- personal reflection and what economic concepts are being covered 

# 2: Visit Freakonomics Radio on NPR

Find and listen to two podcasts of your choosing from the above website.

# 3: Graph Work 
• A large portion of the units, especially later ones, require graphical analysis including creating graphs. If you are not strong on this be sure to review the following concepts: X vs. Y axis, plotting points using a set of data, inverse relationships, etc)
